Partridge Drives

Valquemado’s defined orography, undulating but at the same time rugged, allows the partridge to fully develop its typical flying pattern, quick and energetic due to the powerful flapping of its wings, that delivers flight and glide trajectories complex enough to challenge the abilities of the most seasoned shooters.

Even though the Santa Marca de Magasca region has always historically been red partridge territory, come early September we proceed to free thousands of partridges; this is done in a very painstaking way, by means of big enclosures and controlling in detail the predators’ activity. The typical Mediterranean vegetation of our estate, with abundant slate, thyme and broom, together with the orography in the shape of a big “cup”, allows the partridges to settle in our property and be ready to give our guests a unique shooting experience.

We can also offer you many different driving sites, so as not to repeat locations, should you choose to enjoy several days of shooting with us. We make a point of keeping 50% of our estate from being used for shooting, saving it for the breeding of our partridges, which, in conjunction with an exhaustive predatory control, allows us to enjoy a partridge of the highest quality.
